The former World Champion, Rivaldo, talked about his fellow Brazilian, pointing out that Neymar should’ve stayed at Barca for longer.

Neymar joined PSG in the biggest move of all times, as the Brazilian’s clause was as high as €220 million.

However, the Qatari owners have all the money in the world, meaning that it wasn’t a problem to bring in the Brazilian.

Neymar himself approved the move, despite winning everything in a previous couple of seasons at Barca.

Two years later, the move seems to have been bad for both sides; especially for Brazilian winger.

While Barcelona did win consecutive La Ligas, they couldn’t get the Champions League glory, unlike in 2015, when Neymar helped them throne Europe.

The replacements for Neymar were underwhelming, too. Coutinho joined Bayern on loan this summer, while Dembele is constantly struggling with injuries.

On the other hand, Neymar pretty much failed at PSG due to numerous injuries that saw him miss more than 50% of the matches in his time in French capital.

Former Santos forward did everything to force a move to Catalonia this summer, but it failed due to Barca’s lack of funds.

Rivaldo talked about Neymar’s destiny and the mistakes he’s made.

“If you win the Champions League it’s easier to be the best in the world,” Rivaldo commented, as quoted by Sport.

“The correct thing is what Ronaldinho did, leaving PSG to go to Barcelona and becoming the best in the world.

“I think Neymar made a mistake in that situation but now he can fix it.”

Neymar still gives out hints of wanting to move back to Barca, even though the season has already started.

He recently published a video of his friend, above which is Neymar’s image with Barca shirt on.

PSG and Neymar’s relationship looks to be beyond repair at this point, despite the Brazilian’s brilliant performances when healthy.
