The Brazil legend believes the 22-year-old Manchester City footballer should be playing more in the English Premier League club.

22-year-old Brazilian footballer Gabriel Jesus loves English Premier League side Manchester City.

But he also loves playing football, and at least this season he only started in 20 of 46 games he played with the Citizens.

Which is why Brazil legend Rivaldo has urged his fellow countryman to look for a move out of the EPL champions to have more playing time.

“Gabriel Jesus wasn’t as influential this season as he was in the last one and I think he has two valid options for next season,” Rivaldo was quoted by Goal.

“As a young prospect, he could continue and keep evolving with Guardiola, hoping that more chances come, or he could leave for another club of similar stature to try to become a regular starting 11 player.”

“I see the second option as the best solution,” he added.

“He already gained experience and maturity at City and looks prepared for a new challenge in a team where he could be more important for the team.”

Gabriel Jesus joined City in 2017 from Brazil’s Palmeiras. His current contract runs until 2023.
