According to former Bayern Munich footballer, Arjen Robben, the Spanish manager had a big influence on his professional life.
Pep Guardiola and Bayern Munich shared the Bayern Munich locker room from 2013 to 2016.
And according to the Dutch superstar, the Spanish manager was the best coach he ever had in his career.
“Of course that’s difficult, I’ve seen many beautiful things with many coaches and we’ve been very successful,” said Robben to Sport.
“But if you ask me who was the best, I say Pep Guardiola.”
“I enjoyed it most with him,” he said.
“When Pep came, I was already 30 years old.”
“You’re just trying to stay constant and not get any worse. But under him I got better again,” he commented.
“Since I suddenly played in different positions, where I never thought that I would play there once. He was the best.”
