Sassuolo head coach Roberto De Zerbi is no happy with VAR decision as he is not convinced by the disallowed Sassuolo goal during their a 2-0 Coppa Italia defeat to Napoli.
The coach adds that the VAR technology is difficult to judge.
Sassuolo equalizer goal was rejected after VAR review indicated handball during the build up of the goal, a goal that came after Manuel Locatelli found the back net of Napoli.
It was still 1-0 at the Stadio San Paolo when Manuel Locatelli found the back of the net, but the equaliser was revoked after a VAR review suggested handball in the build-up.
“It’s difficult to judge and referees can make mistakes too,” the Coach told Rai Sport and quoted in Football Italia
“In any case, we could’ve done more and I am happy with the overall performance. It’s a pity about the goals we conceded.
“It is in general a positive season so far, although if it weren’t for a few too many draws and some injuries to big players, we could’ve had four or five more Serie A points.”
Fabian Ruiz and A. Milik of Napoli scored one goal respectively to secure the 2-0 win for their club Napoli.
