Rodri insists Real Madrid dropped off towards the end of their clash and City could have done more damage to them.

Rodri believes Real Madrid have the final whistle to thank in their defeat as City could easily have scored more goals.

It was a surprising result as City came from a goal down to turn things in their favour in the space of five minutes.

The Spanish side looked out of sorts towards the end of the game and that was all but confirmed by the red card shown to Sergio Ramos.

Rodri says Real Madrid were already tired and if the game went on longer, City would have added more goals.

The Spain international said via Football365: “They dropped off physically in the last 10 to 15 minutes and we made the most of that.

“If the game had lasted a little longer we could have done more damage still, but given the way the game was, it is a very good result for us.”

“It is a good result but it’s not done at all, knowing the opponent we have before us. We will approach the game with the greatest seriousness and I am sure they will battle.”

Rodri knows it’s far from over when it comes to Real Madrid and his side still has a difficult task in doing the double over Los Blancos.
