Rodrygo Goes has revealed the behind the scenes happenings between him and Zinedine Zinedine that has helped him in his development.
Rodrygo Goes has been one of the breakthrough talents for Real Madrid this season.
The former Santos man joined Real Madrid in the summer of 2018. Rodrygo marked his first-team debut with a goal in just under a minute after coming on against Osasuna in La Liga last year. He also went on to score a hattrick in his Champions League debut while becoming the second-youngest player to do so only behind Real Madrid legend Raul.
Recently, the 19-year old talked about his development phase at Real Madrid. Rodrygo identified his boss Zinedine Zidane as one of the major influencers in his career so far. The Brazilian also revealed that Zidane often calls him in his office to correct him on his mistakes.
“He’s a very nice guy who always talks to me and gives me advice,” Rodrygo told ESPN Brazil.
“He calls me into his office and shows me what went wrong tactically or technically. And he tells me what he did when he was playing and that he can help me. He’s helped me a lot.”
