Marcos Rojo has asked Manchester United to extend his loan deal with Estudiantes following injury and now coronavirus.

Marcos Rojo left Manchester United this winter on loan to return home to his native Argentina.

Rojo went back to Estudiantes for an emotional return to where he began his career. Former United player Juan Sebastian Veron who is president of the club played a huge roll in Rojo’s return.

The plan was for him to get more playing time, but for one reason and another this has not gone to plan.

Speaking to Estudiantes Y Su Gente the United defender has suffered an injury on his arrival to Argentina, then the coronavirus put a hold on all football.

He feels a sense of injustice if he has to leave without having contributed more.

Rojo said:

“If it depends on me, I will speak to Manchester United’s management about the possibility of staying here for another six months.”

“I will feel a tremendous sense of pain if I have to leave after playing in so few games.”

“I am completely recovered now, and fit to play once more.”
