Roma will not travel to Spain to face Sevilla

AS Roma have announced that they are not permitted to fly to Seville for their Europa League Last 16 fixture.

The Europa League Round of 16 clash between Roma and Sevilla, which was already set to be played behind closed doors, has now been put off.

In an attempt to prevent Coronavirus from spreading, the Spanish government on Tuesday decided to prohibit the landing of Italian flights.

UEFA requested an exception to be made for the match between Roma and Sevilla.

Recently, Roma announced via their Twitter handle that they were preparing to fly to for the Europa League Round of 16 clash but Spanish authorities had denied them permission to land in Spain.

UEFA will shortly release a statement regarding how they decide to proceed with the decision and reorganize the match.
