With Ernesto Valverde on the hot seat, the new managerial candidates pop up daily for FC Barcelona as they look for a solid replacement.
Barcelona’s legendary defender stayed in a good memory for all Barca fans worldwide. He scored the winning goal in club’s first-ever European Championship triumph.
Nowadays, he’s successfully managing the Netherlands, guiding them to the Euro 2020.
He is perhaps the number one candidate to take over if Valverde leaves at the end of the season.
Rivaldo (former Barcelona): "If Valverde does not win the Champions League, it's normal for Barça to get a different coach and Koeman would be an excellent option." [betfair] pic.twitter.com/7nLXeYkSug

Koeman just confirmed that he wants the job in the press conference.
“[Joining Barcelona] is a possibility, but only after Euro 2020,” Koeman said, as quoted by Marca.
“I don’t know if I’ll keep [talking about the Barcelona job] in the future because it’s a bit strange to speak about the possibility of going to the club while you’re the Netherlands coach.”
Koeman will have to fight for his spot, however. Marcelo Gallardo seems like his biggest challenger for the Blaugrana job.
