Cristiano Ronaldo and a number of Juve players have agreed to take pay-cuts to help the club’s financial situation during the coronavirus crisis.
Cristiano Ronaldo and his Juventus teammates have shown a touch of class as they have agreed to take a pay-cut to help the club with the current situation.
It was reported that Juventus’ captain Giorgio Chiellini contacted his teammates and appealed to them to take this joint-decision to help the club in a difficult time.
This has seen different results across Europe. While the majority of players are agreeing to pay-cuts, some clubs have been forced to take legal means to solve the situation, with Barcelona the big name in that scenario.
And as per Tuttosport via Goal, Juve players were in agreement with Chiellini’s message, including Cristiano Ronaldo who is the club’s top earner.
The likes of Buffon, Bonucci and Ronaldo have already agreed to do so, with the Portuguese taking a massive pay-cut of around €3.8m.
Other Juve players are set to follow suit, with the club appreciating the gesture from the players.
Not every player has the luxury to do what Ronaldo and other Juve players did, as a Serie B goalkeeper recently said. However, the act is still a show of class and one that deserves to be commended.
