Cristiano Ronaldo and Juventus are Serie A champions once again after a win over Sampdoria secured the Scudetto.

Juventus needed to beat Sampdoria at the Allianz Stadium to secure their ninth title in a row and win they did.

The victory ensured that Cristiano Ronaldo has won Serie A in both his campaigns in Italian football.

On a personal note, he is also chasing down Ciro Immobile for the leagueโ€™s Golden Boot award.

Before the kickoff, CR7 knew he was four goals behind his Italian counterpart. So the Portuguese superstar set to work and scored his side’s opening goal in injury time of the first half.

He continued to try and add to both his teamโ€™s and his personal tally but drew a blank. The closest he came was hitting the woodwork from the penalty spot in the closing minutes.

Before that, though Bernardeschi helped secure the points and the title with a goal in the 67th minute.

While it will definitely be time to celebrate in Turin, there will also be a concern. Argentine striker Paulo Dybala left the field holding his hamstring before the end of the first half.

There are still a couple of games in the league left, which are almost inconsequential given the title is secured. However, they do have a match against Lyon coming up in August as their quest for Champions League glory continues.

Maurizio Sarri will be hoping it is nothing serious enough to jeopardize his starting strike partnership. Although Dybala was fit enough to join in the festivities after the final whistle.
