Finding the back of the net might be CR7’s specialty but a teammate of his suggests he is far more than just a goalscorer.
Cristiano Ronaldo can “see things that others don’t”, according to Juventus teammate Federico Chiesa.
Ronaldo had a very quite game by his standards during Juventus recent Serie A encounter with AC Milan.
The forward neither scored a goal nor registered an assist, playing no direct part in any of his side’s goals in the 3-1 away win on Wednesday.
He did, however, send a perfectly-weighted lobbed pass towards Weston McKennie, but the USMNT star failed to make use of the opportunity.
Speaking after the match, Federico Chiesa, who got on the scoresheet twice at San Siro, highlighted the playmaking abilities of Ronaldo as well as Paulo Dybala.
“More than anything else, it’s the continuity of performance,” Chiesa said about his goals, via Football Italia.
“Even if you don’t score, you must play well, you have to give everything. And the goals are the result of this.
“The coach asks me to throw myself into the spaces because players like [Paulo] Dybala and Cristiano [Ronaldo] see things that the others don’t.”
