Cristiano Ronaldo appears to have shut down rumors of him leaving Juventus after saying he’s ready to chase a third Serie A title with the club.
Cristiano Ronaldo has hinted he isn’t considering a Juventus exit at the moment.
Over the past few months, speculation has grown over the 35-year-old’s future in Turin.
Some outlets have suggested Ronaldo could fancy a return to Real Madrid or could even consider ending his career with French giants Paris St-Germain.
CR7’s current contract with Juve expires in the summer of 2022 but at the age of 35, it’s not out of place to think he could consider an early exit and chase success in perhaps his last playing spell.
Since joining Juventus, Ronaldo has been nothing short of brilliant.
A tally of 63 goals and 18 assists in 88 total appearances are numbers even a 26-year-old forward would be proud of.
The Portuguese missed out on the Capocannoniere this season but was very influential once again as Juve lifted their ninth successive Serie A crown.
Reacting after the club were officially awarded the title, Ronaldo’s comments on Instagram more or less suggested he will be a Juventus player for one more season at least.
“Happy to win the last two of the nine Serie A consecutive titles for Juventus! It seems easy, but it isn’t! Year after year with talent, dedication and hard work you can achieve your goals and be better than before!”
“Let’s go for my third.”
With two Serie A triumphs already, Ronaldo will now be looking to win a Champions League medal in a Juventus jersey.
First of all, CR7 and company must overcome a 1-0 deficit against Lyon on the 8th of August.
