Ronaldo: I’m happy at Juventus

Cristiano Ronaldo has refuted claims of any possible exit from Juventus after declaring he is enjoying life in Italy.

Ahead of their clash with Los Rojiblancos, the former Madrid manner stated he is a happy man in Turin amid speculations linking him back to the Bernabeu.

And the Portuguese forward further made it clear he is prepared to help the Bianconeri overturn their 2-0 deficit against Atleti.

He told Juventus TV: “I have no secrets, just my dedication and my passion for this sport, I love to play football more than anything else.

“I’ve enjoyed myself in Portugal, England and Spain and I am now doing so in Italy. For me, it’s a pleasure to score goals and to help my team win. I’m happy.”

Having notched in 22 goals against Atletico in 31 appearances for arch-rivals Real, Ronaldo is optimistic Juve can still secure a quarter-final ticket in the competition this season.

“Everyone knows that they are a strong team, they defend very well, they don’t take a lot of risks and they play on the counter-attack,” the five-time Champions League winner added.

Portugal host Serbia on Monday night, as Cristiano Ronaldo and his teammates, chase their first win in the EURO 2020 qualifiers.

“But we are ready, and we will do everything we can to beat them.”

On the other hand, Diego Simeone has promised to produce an excellent performance in Turin irrespective of their two-goal advantage.

Simeone told a press conference: “They (Juventus) are a very strong team with top players in every position. We have to stay calm, be humble and know that we’re playing a very strong side.”
