Ronaldo is the ‘best in the world’ and blessed with extraordinary talents, says Coentrao, who is grateful to have played alongside him.
Fabio Coentrao has described Cristiano Ronaldo as a ‘monster’ whose natural-born talents and great work ethic have made him the world’s best player.
The 32-year-old has witnessed Ronaldo’s remarkable skills up close at Real Madrid and the Portuguese national team on route to countless titles, leaving him in no doubt over who is No.1 on the planet.

“I often wish other people could have had the chance to work with him to see up close what he is like,” left-back Coentrao told O Jogo on CR7.
“He is a monster, a great friend and an excellent person. He was born with natural talent and he has worked very hard to become the best in the world.”
The pair won nine trophies together in Coentrao’s spell as a Real Madrid player, including two LaLiga titles and Champions Leagues, until the left-back left in 2018 after a few loan spells away from Spain.
But while Ronaldo has gone on to taste more success with Juventus and Portugal, Coentrao only recently ended an 18-month absence from football by re-signing for Portuguese club Rio Ave in October.
Cristiano is currently in Croatia for one last Nations League game before the international break ends.
