Cristiano Ronaldo has dropped out of the list of top goalscorers for 2019. In fact, he isn’t even in the top 15.

The list of the top 15 goal scorers from across Europe for the first time in a long time, does not feature Ronaldo.

The Portuguese superstar won a scudetto in his first year with Juventus, and also a Nations League with Portugal during 2019.

However, he has not been his usual prolific self in front of the goal.

He has managed just 18 goals in 33 games this calendar year, which leaves him four off the top fifteen.

The list compiled by Sportbible, has none other than Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski in the number one spot, with 45 goals in 43 games.

CR7’s arch-rival, when it comes to awards and records, Lionel Messi took second place, with 39 goals in 42.

The top 15 is rounded out by RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner.

What beggars belief, is Lewandowski did not even get an honorable mention in either the UEFA or FIFA player of the year awards.
