Cristiano Ronaldo is eager to play the Champions League return leg against Lyon and set the record straight.

Cristiano Ronaldo was far from happy with his side’s performance in the recent Champions League defeat to Lyon.

Juventus went to France for the first leg of the Round of 16 ties and came back having lost 1-0.

Ronaldo is not a fan of losing, especially in a tournament many consider him the king of.

He has not only won it an amazing five times, but he is also the competition’s all-time leading goal scorer.

The Portuguese superstar was brought to Juventus in the hope his domination of the Champions league might help them finally lift the trophy once more.

Ronaldo is now keen to right the wrong and set the record straight with Lyon.

The match is not until mid-March. But in an interview reported by Goal, while he is not worried about it, he would sooner go ahead a play right now.

He said:

“We’re not worried about exiting the Champions League.”

“It’s the most difficult competition there is in this sport.”

“I’m impatient to play the return leg at Allianz Stadium.”

“I’m convinced that we will qualify.”
