Despite manager Massimiliano Allegri’s complacency ahead of Atletico Madrid’s Champions League visit, Ronaldo is more than ready for the challenge.
The Round of 16’s first Champions League leg between Juventus and Atletico Madrid gave us a nearly perfect glimpse of what could happen on Tuesday, this is the ideal setting for Cristiano Ronaldo to release his full wrath against the Colchoneros and we can’t think Juventus are doomed.
If there is something that the Vecchia Signora has taught us over the years in this competition, is that they are specialists on coming back from terrible results during the first leg and they didn’t have a player like Ronaldo back then.
The Portuguese forward came with the only objective of making the Italian giants Champions League monarchs again, they have only won two European Cups in their history and the last time they got one was way back in the ’90s decade when Alessandro Del Piero was on his prime.
This time around things seem slightly different, and Ronaldo is a far better player than Juventus has ever included on their rosters throughout their whole history.
In fact, the only other player that has represented Juventus in the past and can be compared to Cristiano is Zinedine Zidane.
The Frenchman never won the trophy with the Vecchia Signora, Ronaldo aims to change that this season.

There is no bigger motivation for Cristiano Ronaldo than playing against Atletico Madrid, a squad that is considered one of his favorite victims with 22 goals scored against them in 18 matches played so far.
Although it may be true that the Portuguese forward really struggled to get a goal during the first leg at the Wanda Metropolitano, it is also true that Juventus will have that home advantage later today against Atletico and they will have a very hungry Cristiano Ronaldo for this match at Juventus’ Stadium.
The star also has a huge motivation of getting as many goals as he can in the Champions League before he retires, he wants to end his career in the competition as far as possible from Lionel Messi and remain as the all-time top scorer who may never get equaled by any other footballer in football history.
There are many reasons why we believe that Cristiano Ronaldo will have a magical night against Atletico later today, we really believe that the Colchoneros should be worried about him regardless of what manager Diego Simeone has told them during this week of preparations.

We can’t forget how everything went down during the last time these two clubs met, as Atletico Madrid defeated Juventus with a decisive 2-0 victory at the Wanda Metropolitano and Cristiano Ronaldo completely isolated from his teammates.
The Portuguese forward was constantly bullied during the match and he wasn’t allowed to breathe during the game by either Diego Godin or Jose Maria Gimenez.
When the game ended it was clear that Ronaldo was fuming with frustration, he responded to all the jeers after the match by reminding the fans that he had five Champions League trophies and they had zero.
Even though Atletico Madrid are favorites to go through in the competition, we can’t really trust that a surprise won’t happen due to how impactful Cristiano Ronaldo has been in the Champions League throughout his career.
Also, the results from last week that Real Madrid and PSG got are another proof that anything can happen and we can’t really predict what is going to happen.
All we know is that we are going to witness some magical moments at Juventus Stadium, but that’s about it.
