Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, among other greats of the game, has made it to Frank Lampard’s dream team of former opponents.

Regarded as one of the best players to ever play in the Premier League, and one of the all-time world’s best midfielders, Frank Lampard has many extraordinary memories of his 21-year-long playing career.

From winning the Premier League and Champions League, being named as UEFA Best Midfielder of the Year, being honored as England Player of the Year to now having won Premier League Manager of the Month, the Chelsea boss has one of the most glittering resumes in world football.

The former Derby County boss, who had faced some legendary names during his playing days, was recently asked to pick a seven-a-side team.

Speaking during the virtual Q&A hosted by Hyundai, Lampard selected a team full of attacking talent and creativity.

“It’s [Manuel] Neuer, Rio [Ferdinand], Steven Gerrard, [Zinedine] Zidane, Ronaldinho, [Lionel] Messi and [Cristiano] Ronaldo,” he said.

The ex-England international was also asked to pick a side in the long-running debate between Ronaldo & Messi, and he opted for the latter.

“I’m gonna go Messi on this on pure, natural talent but what Ronaldo has done has been absolutely incredible,” Lampard added.
