We tell you how Ronaldo made history today despite Juventus barely making it to next season’s UEFA Champions League.

Cristiano Ronaldo didn’t even play today during Juventus’ most important match of the season, he started on the bench and Andrea Pirlo decided to leave him there. Initially, the club confirmed the player needed some rest for this crucial match against Bologna. At the start of the first half, we saw the Vecchia Signora scoring three goals through Chiesa, Morata, and Rabiot. Even though he didn’t even play a single minute, his goal-scoring title with 29 goals in the tournament was secure.

All he needed was to sit down and wait for the 90 minutes to end between his side and Bologna tonight. But not everything was dandy for the Portuguese star, he was really close to not playing Champions League football next season. If it wasn’t for Napoli’s ineptitude, there was a good chance we would’ve seen the star leaving Juve during the summer. In the end, everything worked out for him and he still made history in world football.

Ronaldo’s gets another unique record.

When he first arrived at Juventus at the start of the 2018-19 season, he came with the objective of winning titles. Winning to Serie A trophies made him the only player in history to win domestic leagues in the three biggest tournaments in Europe. However, the other individual title he wanted didn’t come until today. After ending the season with 29 goals, Cristiano becomes the only player in football history to become the highest goal-scorer of the three biggest leagues in the continent.

He did it at Manchester United, Real Madrid, and now at Juventus. We will never see another footballer as dominant ever again. Ronaldo is simply a safe bet when it comes to scoring goals. There is still his future to discuss but that’s a topic for another day. For now, let’s all enjoy the latest in a long list of records for Cristiano Ronaldo’s career.
