Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo could finally end up playing alongside each other in the same team, according to Rivaldo.
FC Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi has been linked with a surprise move exit from the club in recent times.
It recently began to circulate that Messi, due to being unhappy with the club’s hierarchy, has made up his mind not to extend his contract beyond the next year.
Should the 33-year old decide to quit Camp Nou next summer, a plethora of clubs, naturally, would register an interest in signing him.
Fans have long drooled over the prospect of seeing him and Cristiano Ronaldo, two of the world’s finest players of this generation, play on the same team.
Speaking to Betfair, Rivaldo claims the fans’ wild dream which has looked impracticable up until this point is looking realistic now.
“With all this speculation, I believe that some agents are already dreaming about a Messi-Ronaldo double at Juventus and how big it will be around the globe,” the Brazilian legend said.
“There would be a world ‘boom’ and I believe Juventus would quickly recover any investment on the Argentinian thanks to the boost they would get from visibility and marketing.
“It would be monumental to see both playing together and I’m sure many Juve sponsors would love to help this happen financially, so, it’s also a possibility for Messi.”
