An Old Trafford comeback is well on the cards for the Portuguese, who is destined to depart Juve before the transfer window closes.

Manchester United fans have been wanting to see Cristiano Ronaldo once again donning the club’s colors not too long after his then world-record move to Real Madrid in 2009.

The rumors mills have long been feeding on the hope of the United faithful, linking CR7 with moving back to England without fail in summers and transfer windows of the last decade.

However, this time the long-awaited reunion is a real possibility. In fact, it’s far greater than just a possibility as the reunion is “more than close”, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Man United have submitted an official bid to Juventus for Ronaldo while they have also sent a contract proposal to the player’s representative, reports Romano.

The living legend and arguably the greatest footballer of all time is also keen on returning to the club that nurtured him and turned him into a world-beater.

Desperate to leave Juventus, Ronaldo was reportedly considering joining Manchester City but a discussion with Sir Alex Ferguson apparently prompted him to change his mind and decide on rejoining Man United.
