The Portuguese took the lead in the league’s goalscoring charts after scoring his 13th goal of the season in his first match of 2021.

Cristiano Ronaldo found the net just after the half-hour mark to put Juventus on the front foot in the match against Udinese.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner took to the pitch for the first time since the turn of the year and made sure to mark his appearance of 2021 with a special strike.

A lax throw in saw Aaron Ramsey regain possession for Juve and spray the ball towards Ronaldo. CR7 sprinted into the penalty area, cut inside, and sent a thumping effort high into the net.

It was the Juventus No.7’s 13th goal of the Serie A season, and he overtakes Romelu Lukaku as the the best scorer.
