The Portuguese superstar and his Argentinian rival lead the list of the richest footballers in the world.

Cristiano Ronaldo has ranked second in the list of the Top 10 Highest Earning Footballers in the World.

France Football recently prepared a list of the highest earning footballers in the world based on the players’ salaries from their respective clubs, bonuses, and advertising revenues.

According to ilBianconero, Ronaldo features second on that list with an annual earning of €118 million, second only to Barcelona captain Lionel Messi, whose annual earning was estimated to be €125 million.

Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar ranks third with €98 million, followed by Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale, who is currently out on loan at Tottenham, at €37 million and Andres Iniesta, who currently plies his trade in Japan, at €34 million.

Real Madrid’s Eden Hazard, Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling, and Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappe all share the sixth rank with earnings of €32 million apiece.

Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski (€30 million) and Barcelona attacker Antoine Griezmann and Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne (€28 million each) complete the top 10.

De Bruyne’s earning is expected to move a few places up in the next rankings in light of his latest contract renewal with Manchester City.
