Cristiano Ronaldo has privately revealed that his decision to quit Real Madrid was a mistake.

Not long after Real Madrid won their thirteenth Champions League, the fans were hit with devastating news. During the celebrations, Cristiano Ronaldo addressed Real Madrid as a thing of past that ignited rumors of his departure.

On 10th July, last year, Juventus announced Ronaldo’s signature for a fee of €100 million. The Portuguese became the most expensive player above the age of 30, leaving the Madridistas heartbroken.

Since then, in 44 games for Juve, the 34-year old has scored 29 goals. While the numbers are decent, they do not show Ronaldo’s true quality. Following his recent performances, it’s safe to say that Ronaldo has been unable to replicate his form from Real Madrid.

The Juventus ace also reached a personal low this year as he, after a long time, fell to the third position on the Ballon d’Or rankings.

According to the ABC newspaper, Cristiano Ronaldo is having second thoughts on his decision to leave Spain. The report suggested that Ronaldo privately revealed to his former Real Madrid teammates that he was missing his time at the Spanish capital. Moreover, CR7 claimed that he would have won the Ballon d’Or had he stayed with Real Madrid.
