The English top-flight has not included CR7 as one of the eight standout performers for the 2021/22 Player of the Season award.
The Premier League has left Cristiano Ronaldo out of the eight-man shortlist for the Player of the Season award. It comes just a day after the Manchester United star won April’s Player of the Month – his second of the campaign.
Manchester City and Liverpool have two players each nominated for the main award in Kevin De Bruyne, Joao Cancelo, Mohamed Salah, and Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Combined, these four players have supplied 80 goals in the league this season.

There was, however, no place on the shortlist for Liverpool attacker Sadio Mane.
Tottenham forward Heung-Min Son made the final cut though. The South Korea international is just one goal behind Salah in the Golden Boot race, having scored 21 times. Joining him from north London is Arsenal’s 20-year-old winger Bukayo Saka.
Southampton midfielder James Ward-Prowse and West Ham forward Jarrod Bowen made up the rest of the shortlist.
