Antonio Cassano has revealed that there is a big problem going on between Cristiano Ronaldo and Maurizio Sarri.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s stars are probably not on his side nowadays. Last month, the superstar footballer got involved in a feud with his manager Maurizio Sarri. Sarri substituted the number-7 during a match and he did not take it well.
A few weeks back, after his return to Italy from the international break, both the Portuguese and Sarri cleared the air between themselves in a press conference.
But, recently, former Italy international Antonio Cassano claimed that the tension between the 34-year old and the Juventus manager has not boiled down.
“I think Ronaldo has a big problem with Sarri,” Antonio Cassano claimed as per Goal.
“Everything started with two consecutive substitutions, which will irritate any player.
“In my opinion, there’s a problem between them and Juventus are good at keeping it down.”
Antonio Cassano also spoke about Juventus’ choices between the sticks. The former forward considered Gigi Buffon to be a superior goalkeeper and insisted that Juve should play him more often.
“Buffon should play because he remains a better option than Szczesny.
“He was always benched at Arsenal and was a back-up to Almunia and Fabianski. At Roma, he had a good year, while now he is in his first year as a starter.
“Anyway, right before Gigi’s mistake [against Sassuolo], it needs to be said that De Ligt made yet another error.”
