Cristiano Ronaldo’s mother presented a Portugal shirt with her son’s name on it as a way of greeting Pope Francis in the Vatican.
Manchester United superstar Cristiano Ronaldo’s mother, Dolores Aveiro, presented Pope Francis a Portugal shirt on Wednesday morning.
In the event of the Pope’s General Audience, Cristiano’s mum had travelled to the Vatican City. Every week, the head of the Catholic Church offers teachings and also meets people from the city.
Before meeting the Bishop of Rome, Dolores wrote on social media saying “ready to receive the Pope’s blessing”.
As soon as she met the divine figure, she put forth a Portugal jersey with Cristiano Ronaldo’s name on it.
Along with a photo of the Pope, she wrote on Instagram: “ A very unique emotion, thank you.”
