CR7’s future has been a hot topic of discussion among the fans and for the media, and now his mother has weighed in on the subject.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s mother insists she will try and convince her son to return to Sporting next season.

Juventus struggles this season have been fueling the exit rumors of their star player. Juventus find themselves outside of top-four with just three Serie A games left to play which means Ronaldo and co. are at risk of missing out on Champions League football next season.

A switch to MLS has also been mooted for the superstar footballer while he has also been linked with a return to Manchester United as well as Real Madrid. In what came as a surprise, rumors surfaced earlier this month claiming he could even retrace his steps to Sporting.

The Portuguese forward made 31 senior appearances with Sporting before becoming the then world’s costliest teenager back in 2003 by joining Manchester United, where he rose to prominence.

“Tomorrow I will go to see him and talk to him. Next season he will play at Alvalade (Sporting’s stadium),” Dolores Ronaldo while celebrating the club’s first Primeira Liga title since 2002, captured by TVI 24.

“I will convince him to come back.”
