Cristiano Ronaldo is considered one of the best players of the era, yet he receives insufficient ratings in the upcoming FIFA 21.

It is that time of the year. Football fans await as EA Sports announced the ratings for players in their upcoming edition of the renowned FIFA series. However, Cristiano Ronaldo received low ratings on his defensive side and seems pretty unacceptable.

EA ranked the Portuguese megastar in the second place right after the rival Lionel Messi. Ronaldo has an overall rating of 92, whereas Messi tops the chart with 93.

No doubt, the former Manchester United winger is known for his impeccable attacking abilities. Although, when it comes to his defensive skills, Ronaldo has done no less than a defender.

Ronaldo received the lowest score for his defensive side. He secured 29 for interceptions, 28 for marking, 32 for standing tackle, and 24 for sliding tackle.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner has worked hard to complete his defensive duties during his time at Manchester United and Real Madrid.

Here is an example of his defensive abilities.

Clearly, Cristiano showed that he could slide tackle better than any other player on the field. His eagerness to get the ball back from his opponents shows his attitude towards defending.

The video displays the Juve forward’s skill to intercept the ball. He uses his acceleration and enormous strength to tackle opponents and steal the ball.

Often known as a self-obsessed player on the field, Ronaldo showed his desire to win the ball for his team on several occasions at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Moreover, it is hard to believe that Cristiano’s best competitor Lionel Messi has been rated more for overall defense. They both have 35 and 38, respectively.

Surprisingly, the Barca captain received 40 for interceptions, 32 for marking, 35 for standing tackle, and 24 for sliding tackle.

Without a doubt, Cristiano Ronaldo’s defensive statistics need some improvement. What are your thoughts about it?
