Aston Villa have reportedly offered Grealish a new a new £100,000-a-week deal in a bid to ward off transfer interest from Manchester United.
Jack Grealish was the shining light for Villa in a season that only saw a revival in the latter stages.
Locked in the relegation battle for most of the season, the 24-year-old inspired his boyhood club to a late charge as they escaped the drop after the final round of fixtures.
For all of his exploits, Grealish was awarded the Villa player of the season with head coach Dean Smith saying no one else deserved it.
However, those exploits have attracted potential suitors with Manchester United the club most keen on his services.
Reports claim Villa will only consider a £75m offer for Grealish. While the Red Devils are only willing to pay somewhere around £55m. Not surprising as they have their sights on priority target in Jadon Sancho.
United might have cooled their interest in the player but Aston Villa are not ready to take any chances.
The Sun claim’s the club wants to tie down Grealish to the club. They have offered him a five-year deal worth £100k-a-week. A significant increase from his current £75k-a-week wages.
The 24-year-old is now expected to hold contract talks with Aston Villa next week to decide his future.
There is no decision yet from Grealish but the report claims Villa are rather optimistic about his renewal.
