As per a report, Manchester City will only sell Eric Garcia for £30m at least with Barcelona reportedly keen on re-signing the player.
Earlier in the day, Pep Guardiola confirmed Garcia refused the offer of a new contract at the club.
Having joined the club from Barcelona in 2017, a return to his former employers may well be on the cards for the teenager.
It remains to be seen what becomes of his future but it appears City are already preparing for the worst.
With Barcelona keen on a reunion with Garcia, The Guardian claims the Manchester outfit will only entertain offers of £30m in total (an initial £20m fee plus an extra £10m in add-ons).
As per the report, City value their youngster as similar in age and profile to new signing Ferran Torres who joined the club for around £24.5m on Tuesday. Hence, the Citizens want a similar fee for the 19-year-old defender.
With City facing Real Madrid in the Champions League tomorrow, the report also adds that Garcia could be a doubt to play giving the uncertainty over his future.
Altogether, Guardiola is hopeful the club can convince the teenager to change his mind although he admits the chances of that happening is pretty slim.
