According to reports from Italy, Gennaro Gattuso is set to extend his current Napoli contract and could remain at the club until 2023.

The Partenopei could only manage a seventh-place finish in the Serie A but they still got their hands on silverware. Napoli beat Juventus on penalties to lift the Coppa Italia back in June.
Gattuso is gradually steadying the ship at Napoli and the club’s hierarchy are ready to back him on and off the pitch.
Sportitalia claim that the 42-year-old met with President Aurelio De Laurentiis this afternoon and add that a basic agreement was already reached.
His contract will run to June 2023 with a salary worth €1.6m per season plus bonuses.
Asides contract details, Gattuso and De Laurentiis also spoke about the club’s transfer plans this summer. Asides the arrival of Victor Osimhen, thee club will look to bring in four more names.
