Rumour: Khedira a potential target for Wolves

Rumour has it that Sami Khedira is surplus to requirements at Juventus.

According to Football Italia Wolves have already opened discussions over a potential move.

Juventus are preparing themselves for a dose of Sarri ball and have already added Aaron Ramsey and Adrien Rabiot to their ranks. Rumors of Paul Pogba returning have by no means went away.

Maurizio Sarri does not see the 32-year-old German international midfielder as part of his plans. Having two years still to run on his contract after arriving on a free from Real Madrid, it would not only generate some much-needed funds but also clear some space on the wage bill for Juventus.

The talk is that any attempt to lure Manchester United to part with Pogba will depend on Juve generating substantial funds and clearing some room on a fast escalating wage bill. Free signings are all the fashion, but they tend to come with elevated wages. Just ask Manchester United and Alexis Sanchez.

While Paulo Dybala is perhaps their most desirable asset on the market, he is not the most expendable.

The addition of two midfield players and the interest in a third leaves Khedira with little to no opportunities in Turin. There has also been interest shown by Besiktas of Turkey and teams from the MLS.

Top 5 overrated players in La Liga’s 2019-20 season so far

As we approach half of the season in La Liga 2019-20, we tell you about the Top 5 overrated players that we've encountered so...

Wolves are playing in Europe this year for the first time in almost 40 years. They brought in Ruben Neves, Joao Moutinho, and Rui Patricio last year in order to get there. This summer has already seen them spend a club record £30m to make Raul Jimenez’s loan move from Benfica permanent.

Nuno Espirito Santo is aiming big this season and it doesn’t get much bigger than the Sami Khedira.

This deal could have some major repercussions for others in this transfer window. Khedira may find himself insignificant at Juventus right now.

He could, however not only be a significant signing for Wolverhampton Wanderers but also play a major role in the comings and goings at other places too.
