Rumour: Malcom move to Zenit edging closer

The rebuilding revolution is underway at Barcelona. Key to spending big is selling big.

Barcelona winger Malcom is part of the selling big part of the revolution. He has been strongly linked with the exit door at the Camp Nou all summer.

According to Marca it now appears that a move to Zenit Saint Petersburg seems to be closer than ever.

Ernesto Valverde’s apparently has no use for Malcom. A player that they very publicly pinched out the grasp of Italian giants Roma last summer.

Malcom has struggled to cement a place in the team. Managing Only 24 appearances in all competitions.

Barcelona has spent big already. De Jong and Greizmann accounting for over 200 million Euro’s alone. They are in need of recouping some money in order to fund further transfers. namely Mr. Neymar Jr.

A contingent from the Russian club is reportedly in Catalonia to wrap the fine details. Which would see the Brazilian winger, make the move after only one season in Spain.

While Zenit has the financial muscle and is determined to secure the signing of Malcom. They will not be bullied or held to ransom by Barcelona.

Zenit president Alexander Metvedev has made it clear they are here to negotiate but the 40 million Euro valuation will not be met.
