He has now decided that he wants out of Madrid.

The deal for Navas is thought to now be totally separate to any negotiations that involve the transfer of Neymar.

Even though when Thibaut Courtois was out injured, the Costa Rican international took his opportunity to come out of the shadows, and stake a claim for the number one spot. Witha string of excellent saves and performances when called upon.

Manager Zinedine Zidane has made it quite clear that Navas will play second fiddle as back up to the big Belgian shot-stopper.

At 32 years of age, Navas feels as a keeper he is coming into his prime.

PSG was rumoured to be interested at the end of last season when Gianluigi Buffon moved away.

They were deterred by the Madrid valuation of 20 million Euros.

Opinion: Spanish football is in a state of emergency

After what we are currently looking from the biggest Spanish clubs in the world, we can say that La Liga is in a state...

Thomas Tuchel and his Chairman Nasser al-Khelaifi feel an experienced keeper such as Navas, would be essential if they are to mount a serious attempt of winning the elusive Champions League they seek.

When Navas was the first choice at Madrid, he was part of the team that won three Champions League trophies in succession.

His record at Madrid is impressive. He has played 162 times for them and kept 52 clean sheets.

It is understood, that Los Blancos are resided to Navas leaving. With him only having one year left on his contract, this may be their only opportunity to get any kind of transfer fee.

Real are considering a one-year loan agreement for a veteran goalkeeper. Someone who would provide a safe pair of experienced hands should the need arise.
