Rumour: United could target Sancho as early as January

Jadon Sancho could be a January transfer window target for Manchester United.

According to The Sun, United are planning for a 100 million pound summer raid for Sancho.

This summer, new Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer spent 155 million pounds on three new faces.

Daniel James, an apparent bargain at 15 million and dubbed on for the future.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka for 55 million, who has already shown why he is considered one of the best right-backs in the Premier League.

Of course, Harry Maguire, for a world record 85 million, of whom there is no doubt was a necessity.

If you take into consideration, he has so far offloaded Romelu Lukaku for 75 million, that takes his net spend to 80 million pounds.

With the exception, of David Moyes’s catastrophic summer transfer window, he has by far and away spent less than his predecessors.

It is believed, that the money brought in from Lukaku will be available for Solskjaer to reinvest.

Solskjaer: Man United’s young guns almost ready to step up

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer teased that Manchester United's promising crop of youngsters are nearly ready to be unleashed in the Premier League.

The hope was to convince Sancho to join United this summer. But the player harbours ambitions of Champions League football. Something United was not even close to being able to offer.

The feeling at Old Trafford is though, if they are showing signs of a resurgence in form, and that Champions League football is within their grasp.

They will push for a winter signing of Sancho, to boost those chances and make ready for the next campaign early.

The figure of 100 million pounds has been talked of. This given the income from Lukaku is well within the United budget.

Dortmund has only just spoken publicly as we brought on Ronaldo.com of an existing interest in the 19-year-old England International.

There is a concern at the club, which has prompted a possible new mega-contract in an attempt to scare off potential buyers.

Unfortunately, if money is the key factor in this deal, few can compete and scare off United if they so wish to sign a player.

Sancho to United makes for an interesting January transfer window before the summer one has even closed.
