In what would be a huge transfer blow for Arsenal, Ryan Fraser has stated that he intends to remain at the mid-table club beyond this summer.

Arsenal’s pursuit of English forward, Ryan Fraser has suffered a huge blow after the youngster hinted at staying for another season.

Fraser was in scorching form for the Cherries this season, scoring seven goals and providing 14 assists in the league. Such impressive displays made him Arsenal’s top target for the summer. The Gunners had been hoping to seal a move for Ryan Fraser this summer but the deal has now hit a snag.

While speaking to Mirror, the Bournemouth star said that it is more than likely that he would be spending another year with his current club.

“The likelihood is I will be at Bournemouth for another year,” Fraser explained, as quoted by the Mirror.

“And what will happen, will happen. That is all I can really say about it.

“No one has really spoken to me about it.”

This is definitely a huge blow for Unai Emery’s side who were really hoping to get their hands on the talented forward for around € 35 million. Now, the club will have to look elsewhere. Arsenal are in dire need of some inspiration in the transfer market.

So far, things haven’t gone their way. The London giants were reportedly set to sign Yannick Carrasco from Chinese outfit Dalian Yifang. However, the Belgian international is also a target of Bayern Munich. And with the Germans being able to offer Champions League, Carrasco might consider his options.

Ryan Fraser on the other hand, would have been a much needed arrival for a club that struggled with consistent creativity last season. The likes of Mesut Ozil and Henrikh Mkhitaryan were simply not up to the mark with the former reportedly keen on leaving the club this summer.
