Liverpool are riding high in the Premier League at the moment, but things are also going pretty well for some of their players off the pitch as well.
It was double celebration as Henderson and Salah’s wives both have birth to babies earlier today.
Of course that’s normal but surely it’s not a coincidence it comes at exactly nine months to Liverpool’s comeback against Barcelona.
We’ll leave it up to you to make the link between the two.
It was an eventful night as Liverpool saw one of the greatest UCL comebacks. Off the pitch, it’s safe to say it was eventful as well.
Sky Sports presenter Jeff Stelling certainly certainly found the whole thing on Sky Sports this afternoon.
While making the announcement, he did so in a bit corny way.
“Congratulations to Jordan Henderson and his wife Rebecca who’ve given birth to a baby boy today, nothing unusual in that.
“The birth comes nine months and one day after Liverpool beat Barcelona 4-0 at Anfield.
“Mo Salah’s wife Maggie has given birth to a baby today as well, nine months and one day (later).
“You couldn’t make it up. Congratulations to them both!”
Milner also took the piss and responded with an “Origi assist” tweet.
Salah and Henderson have been reliable for Liverpool this season.
The Egyptian has been clinical in front of goal, scoring four goals in his last three games. He also registered one assist during that time.
Henderson, meanwhile, is a favourite for the PFA Player of the Year as he continues to play an influential role in the Liverpool midfield.
