Alexis Sanchez has refused to hide his feelings for securing a permanent deal at Inter Milan following an inspiring loan spell from Manchester United.
Inter Milan and Manchester United found a mutually beneficial deal that will see Alexis Sanchez remain in Lombardy on a permanent basis.
The 31-year-old will hurry to forget his disastrous career at Old Trafford that saw him turn from one of the fiercest forwards in the Premier League into a scapegoat.
Sanchez joined United in a blockbuster deal that saw Henrikh Mkhitaryan go to Arsenal in January 2018.
But, during a year-and-a-half stint with the Red Devils, the former Barcelona man added just five goals and nine assists to his name.
As a consequence, the Premier League powerhouse shipped out the Chilean to Serie A on loan with the option to buy, which Inter have been glad to exercise.
Alexis has enjoyed quite a renaissance at the Giuseppe Meazza, helping the ‘Nerazzurri’ finish just one point adrift of perennial champions Juventus.
Now that Inter secured his services permanently, Sanchez was quick to send a message to the club supporters who’s been standing by him throughout the season.
“I’m really happy to be staying here with you, Inter fans,” he told the official Serie A website.
“I’ve found a family here, and the staff is great, and a group where there’s a real desire to win something big.
“People here want to fight together as a team to give the Club the success it deserves.”
