Leroy Sane is eagerly looking forward to start training with his new teammates after completing his move to Bayern Munich.

Bayern Munich recently announced they have secured the signature of Leroy Sane from Manchester City for a fee of around €50 million.

A series of performance and trophy-related bonuses could see Sane’s transfer amount eventually rise to around €60 million.

It is reported that the Germany international will earn double the figure he earned while at Manchester City, with an estimated salary of €22 million (£20m) per year now.

The German winger had been linked with a switch to Allianz Arena since the summer of 2019. A move was then postponed following his long-term knee injury in the pre-seasons.

In his first interview with the club’s official website, the 24-year old says he cannot wait to begin the new chapter of his career.

“FC Bayern is, of course, a very large club and has big goals. And the goals also fit for me, which is why this was the only choice for me.

“I’m looking forward to everyone. We played together in the youth national teams, I played together with Leon [Goretzka] at Schalke.

“There are lots of experienced players, lots of young players. Everyone is very hungry. So, I’m looking forward to it all and can’t wait to train with the team.”
