Maurizio Sarri says Juventus must learn from their past mistakes and work trying not to repeating them.
Juventus dropped more points and missed the chance to go cushion their lead at the top of the table after their recent loss to Hellas Verona in Serie A.
Cristiano Ronaldo gave his side the lead after a brilliant sprint from the halfway line. But Fabio Borini and Giampaolo Pazzini scored within a gap of ten minutes to secure all three points for Verona.
With Inter Milan set to play AC Milan later tonight, Juve’s loss could show greater consequences as a win for Inter would see them leapfrog Juve atop the table.
Speaking in the post-match press conference, Maurizio Sarri expressed his disappointment in his team. Sarri urged his side to stop making mistakes and work harder in improving their performances.
“Evidently we have different performances and results when comparing home form to away. It was a difficult game, we knew it would be and that Verona would make us suffer early on,” the Juve boss said as Football Italia reports.
“The first goal was inexplicable. If we want Juventus to win games, we cannot keep making errors caused by a superficial attitude.
“What we need to realize is that winning is not to be taken for granted. We have to work harder, get dirty when we need to and not rest on our laurels.”
