Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri revealed the measures he’s taken to understand what went wrong in their 3-1 defeat to Tottenham last Saturday
The Blues’ Premier League title hopes suffered a major blow with their first defeat of the season at Wembley.
Chelsea struggled to match Spurs with Dele Alli, Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min putting the hosts 3-0 up before substitute Olivier Giroud got one back late on.
Speaking ahead to Chelsea’s Europa League game with PAOK on Thursday, Sarri revealed his actions afterwards.
“I went player by player. I had a meeting of ten minutes individual meetings,” said Sarri, according to Sports Mole.
“We lost the match after three months and a half, we have to understand why and from the mental approach.
“If you don’t have the determination then maybe you don’t have the character in the mind, I wanted to understand this.
“The target in my mind is very clear, it is to win something and in the long time to become the best team in Europe.”
The Europa League match at Stamford Bridge will begin at 21:00 (CET) on Thursday.
