Napoli dropped another two points as they managed to gain just a draw against Sassuolo away from home and Juventus can be four points ahead if they will manage to beat AC Milan.
However, Maurizio Sarri insisted that he just wants to gain more than 87 points in the season to set the new club’s record and he is angry just because of it and not because of worsening chances of winning the title.
The experienced coach spoke about this 1-1 draw as he said, according to Football Italia:
“We suffered because we went behind in a strange way after some favourable situations.”
“It was problematic to raise the tempo against a Sassuolo side who focused on protecting their lead and taking home the result. We created a lot of chances again today, but it’s a period where we aren’t converting enough of them into goals.”
“Our objective is to reach 87 points and set a new all-time record for Napoli in Serie A. That is the only reason we are disappointed to drop two points today.”
