Maurizio Sarri has revealed that Cristiano Ronaldo is quickly recovering to try and get back to his full fitness.
Juve failed to retake their lead in the Serie A after suffering a 3-1 loss to Lazio last weekend. The defeat also meant that the Bianconeri were on the losing side for the first time in this season.
Ahead of their match against Udinese, manager Maurizio Sarri has urged his men to get their focus back to the league after victory against Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League.
The Juve manager also suggested that his starman Cristiano Ronaldo was working hard to regain his health on the maximal level.
“The risks of dropping the intensity levels and dropping points after Champions League games is visible in the statistics. You can’t argue when it happens two or three times,” Sarri said as per Football Italia.
“We’ve got to find out why it keeps happening and fix it. There are differences playing in Serie A to the Champions League, but it’s not true to say the European opponents are more open. Bayer Leverkusen focus mainly on possession, while Lokomotiv Moscow tend to clam up.
“The sensation is that Cristiano Ronaldo is recovering faster now than he was a while back. We’ll evaluate his fitness levels over the next few days, but he seems to be improving radically.”
