Maurizio Sarri has declared his undying love to the Serie A side and wishes them well for the future following his move to London with Chelsea.

The former Napoli boss penned a 3 year deal with the Blues and took Italian international midfielder Jorginho with him over the weekend.

Football Italia reports that in his first interview for the club with Chelsea TV, the 59-year-old first addressed his former club.

“First of all, I have to say thank you to the people of Naples because they have helped me in every way for three years. I love them very much and I love them forever,”

“My style of play? I think in Naples I was very lucky to find many players who adapted very well to my football.”

“The players were very strong, very strong from a human point of view, so I think I was lucky to transport my way of football, my idea of football on the pitch essentially the quality of my players.”

He went on to praise Jorginho and hint at further signings during the transfer window to bolster the squad in order to challenge for the Premier League.

“I think Chelsea are a good team. The problem is that in England, there are five or six very good teams. I think with one or two adjustments, we can try to play my football.” Sarri continued.

“Jorginho? He’s not a physical player, he’s a technical player, but most important quality is that he’s very quick in the mind so he has the ability to move the ball very quickly.”
