Sassuolo denies selling Merih Demiral to Juventus

The Turkey international is rumored to be moving to the Bianconeri squad for €15 million plus bonuses.

There have been some rumors that Sassuolo young star Merih Demiral will leave the club in the summer to join Juventus.

Those reports say the Bianconeri will pay €15 million plus bonuses.

But today, Sassuolo director Giovanni Carnevali has denied these transfer.

“Demiral was not just scouted by Juventus, as many clubs came to watch him,” he told Football Italia.

“We do have a very good rapport with Juventus and will evaluate the situation.”

Carnevali explained: “We only signed him in January, so we are very proud of our scouting network and the way Roberto De Zerbi got the best out of him.”

“Our intention is to keep the most important players in the squad.”

“We are not a club who sell easily,” he added.

“Naturally, if the lad wants to try something more ambitious elsewhere, we could let him go for the right price.”

“If Domenico Berardi stays, then we’ll be very happy about that, as we want him to become a club symbol,” he said.

“As for Jeremie Boga, unfortunately, he had this injury that kept him out for a few months, but we won’t consider any offer until next summer, as he still has more to give.”
