Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is Frank Lampard’s top target in the January transfer window if the club’s transfer ban is lifted.

The Lazio midfielder has been linked with a move to the Premier League for the last 18 months.

Up until now, Manchester United are thought to be the front runners. However, Chelsea has now entered the picture.

Lampard feels his side needs some experience and flair in the midfield.

The Serbia international is only 24 years old but already has over 200 top-flight games under his belt, and has scored over 43 goals as well as 26 assists.

According to the Mirror’s sources, Lampard sees the player as what many call an old-school box to box midfielder, very much in the mold of himself.

N’Golo Kante’s defensive prowess would give Milinkovis-Savic the freedom to roam the field.

It has been rumored that Lazio’s president Claudio Lotito has already turned down offers of 100 million Euros.

Chelsea seems to believe that there is a deal to be done closer to 90 million.

But with the money from Eden Hazards sale available, plus the billions of owner Roman Abramovich, the price shouldn’t be an issue.
