Schalke04 have reportedly informed Manchester City they’ll have to pay up to £35million to secure the services of Sebastian Rudy, according to Sports Mole.
Last week, it was claimed that the Premier League champions were considering a loan move for the German midfielder m, who would act as an alternative for Fernandinho if he moved to Manchester.
However, reports in the English press say the Bundesliga club have told City that the price is £35m for a player who moved to the Veltins-Arena from Bayern Munich last summer.
Rudy, who has 27 international caps to his name, featured in 35 games for the Bavarians last season.
City are also understood to be monitoring Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Ruben Neves as they look to strengthen their midfield in the off season.
The Citizens secured their spot in the fifth round of the FA Cup with a 5-0 win over Burnley at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.
