Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel ran towards the crashing site of the helicopter carrying the team’s owner and four other people
Leicester City owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha and four other people died in a helicopter crash on October 27.
The vehicle left King Power Stadium in Leicester and crashed a few seconds after taking off.
And goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel saw it first hand and ran towards the wreckage.
“I’m proud of his reaction as the first thing he wants to do is help,” Peter Schmeichel, the Foxes’ goalkeeper dad told the BBC.
“He was running towards a burning helicopter. You don’t want your kids to do that.”
“He’s done exceptionally well. He’s come through a difficult time and I’ve tried to read his emotions and hopefully it won’t be a big reaction,” he concluded.
